It's here 2022!

A New Year...what will it hold?
Praying it holds good health, happiness, peace & prosperity for all. I'm excited to ring in the New Year with all of you. 💕  Your support and continuing sales have helped this little business grow. I am filled with gratitude and thanks. I will continue tying for all of you because it is a true passion to keep the love of fishing alive. Fishing is a wonderful outlet to experiencing the great outdoors. It brings joy spending quality time with those that you are close to, as well as giving yourself enjoyment being out in nature. Its a pastime that has taken place since the earliest of times.🎣
I was brought up in a fishing family. Back to tagging along when I was really young,  with my Grandpa & Dad all I remember is it gave me such joy. I will continue to keep it going with my children ,Grandchildren and everyone that loves fishing!
I do my research,  try and collect the best of the best info from "seasoned" fisherman, guides, reference books etc. I'm a research junkie, a tying junkie and a bit of a perfectionist. The internet is a good source of info, but it's the fisherman and women out on the waters,  hiking into the remote ponds, streams, brooks and rivers that are my best sources of info. Thus giving the flies I tie the features to catch.. Not be put in a case or a collection box , I want them in the waters, tested, striked at and putting fish in the net.
I'm always open to suggestions,  feedback and love to tie custom orders. 🎣❤

So as winter keeps revving up in the Northeast some people are just simply sitting back wishing for spring. Then the others are revving up like winter also, with their augers!! 🤣❄ Setting their traps and shacks up for the next few " frozen water" months ahead . As always a reminder to be safe on the ice.  Obviously the farther north you go the faster the ice has frozen.  There is way more ice in Arroostook County than York County Maine. Yet some smaller bodies of water freeze faster.
Just be safe check your local ice reports with Fish & Game or check with the "locals"!

The ice Derbys are in full swing ! Get out and enjoy! Grab some ice flies from Lakeside Flies and jig the shallows for some pan fish.
Or the deeper depths for those big lakers.
Remember fish are lethargic in the winter so their appetite won’t be as large and they will be less aggressive. So, a smaller, more mellow fly is sometimes key. Ice flies is a favorite way to fish in the winter, and the perfect way to get fish to bite! Try it! You'll be surprised how many fish will swim by that shiner and strike a fly morsel.

Happy New Year to all of you !
